PHYSX LENSFX

PhysX LensFX is a suite of Lens Effects including :

- Exponential Glow : The effect of light scattering withing the glass of the lens. This glow follows the inverse square law.

- Vignette : The effect of the lens casting an image circle too small for the sensor.

- Lens distortion : The effect of light being distorted when it passes through the lens.

- Field curvature : The lens projects the image on a sphere shape due to the spherical nature of its elements, however the sensor is flat, therefore only the center of the image is perfectly in focus whereas the edges tend to be slightly blurred.

- Chromatic aberration : As light passes through the lens elements, the different wavelength that compose light have different IOR thus they are slightly separated which creates a light fringing effect on the image.

- Halation : The effect of light hitting a reflective surface within the lens of behind the sensor and bouncing back on it creating a slight glow effect.
