This project was done in collaboration with my friend Kilian Carriere who created the environment. Our goal was to capture this eery underwater athmosphere. The biggest challenge on this shot was to match the lighting of the CG to the lighting of the plate. The overall integration was complex but turned out pretty well. The bokeh had me struggling on this project as I had trouble finding the correct amount of it, this is what inspired me to create the PhysX Defocus to have a physically based node in which I can input a lens, a sensor size and an aperture and get a realistic bokeh.
